Fatima Taylor, MAT, LCSW-C
Founding CEO and Clinical Director

A graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore social work program, Fatima Taylor is the founder of Taylor Wellness Center,Inc, one of Maryland’s first trauma-informed wellness centers utilizing evidence-based practices while providing intensive outpatient and wrap around outpatient care. As a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor who has been working with trauma survivors for over fifteen years, she has devoted herself to integrating the various tools and practices under one roof to create an accessible, inclusive environment for all non-offending genders who are seeking treatment. Fatima has worked in the community setting on crisis teams, in private practices and community agencies. She also has experience in higher education settings as a clinician, manager, and adjunct faculty.
In addition to her clinical work, Fatima has fifteen years of management experience; focusing primarily on providing mentorship, building, and rebuilding deficient programs. One of her most recent endeavors included scaling a sexual assault program at a flagship institution from two staff to 12 staff within five years, gaining financial support in the form of grants, campus funds, and sponsorship.
Fatima is trained in various therapy modalities including Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), Brainspotting (BSP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Fatima also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from The Johns Hopkins University and Bachelor's Degrees in Psychology and Women's Studies from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor.
